Mariann Johnson sits on the Executive Board of the Making Hope Happen Foundation. Mariann is a workforce professional who aims to bring her perspective of business to education. She currently serves as the Deputy Director for Workforce Development in the San Bernardino County.

Overseeing the program, GenerationGo! Career Pathways, Mariann strives to ensure every student in career pathways gets a work based learning experience. Mariann considers herself to be a collaborative leader as she adores bringing partners together to figure out who can bring what resources to the table to solve problems. As she was raised in a small town similar to that of San Bernardino, she relates to the San Bernardino City residents and students. She hopes to achieve a community goal in which students receive opportunities that assist them on the journey through college.

“There is opportunity to be who you want to be in your professional and personal life and have the tools needed to overcome barriers when they come up. That is what hope is to me,” says Mariann Johnson.
