San Bernardino, CA – For its fourth consecutive year, The Making Hope Happen Foundation makes its student scholarships available to all San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD) high school graduates planning to attend college in the fall. SBCUSD high school seniors have until Thursday, Feb. 28 11:59 p.m. to complete the application. Students may login to start their application, save progress, return to continue editing and submit any time during the application period.

With even academically advanced students struggling to access higher education, the importance of scholarships in San Bernardino is significant. The Making Hope Happen Foundation works to send dedicated students of financially challenged households and situations to the college of their choice.

“Our students in the district have a vision for their educational future and we would like to be a part of the plan. We want to be that little push for our students,” said scholarship committee Chair, Lynda Savage. We do believe in lending a hand up and we’re excited because we are confident that SBCUSD has prepared these students. We want them to go for it and to understand that their dreams and aspirations are theirs for the taking.”

Making Hope Happen Foundation Scholarships provide $3,000 and support from a mentor to help graduates of SBCUSD schools succeed in their pursuit of a college degree or technical skills certification.

Students may find access to the scholarship through www.makinghope.org.
