The Making Hope Happen Foundation is honored to celebrate our long-standing partnership with Amazon, a company whose generosity and vision continue to uplift San Bernardino. Amazon has demonstrated time and again that meaningful corporate partnerships can transform communities, and nowhere is that more evident than in the impact they’ve had on our schools and families.
A cornerstone of this collaboration has been Amazon’s support of DonorsChoose, the national platform that empowers teachers to request classroom resources tailored to their students’ needs. Through this program, educators across the San Bernardino City Unified School District have been able to secure everything from basic supplies and STEM tools to innovative technology and creative learning projects. These investments have helped thousands of local students, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement to thrive. Teachers, too, have felt the difference—relieved of the financial burden of purchasing supplies themselves, they are free to focus on what matters most: teaching and inspiring.
The impact of this partnership reaches beyond the classroom. Amazon’s commitment reflects a shared belief with the Making Hope Happen Foundation: that education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty and opening doors to opportunity. By working hand in hand, we are not just meeting immediate needs but also investing in the long-term success of our students and the future of San Bernardino.
For this reason, we were proud to recognize Amazon as the Opportunity Award winner at the Making Hope Happen Gala that was held this past May. This award honors Amazon’s exceptional commitment to advancing educational equity and opportunity in our community. Their partnership exemplifies what is possible when innovation, compassion, and collaboration come together for the greater good.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Amazon for walking alongside us in this journey of hope. With steadfast partners like them, the Making Hope Happen Foundation will continue to invest in the dreams of our students and ensure that San Bernardino remains a place where hope is not just an idea, but a reality.
